"A Soul with a Hundred Legs and Only One Desire" (Excerpt)

...

I heard a story the other day of a great dancer who lived to be 105 years old. Toward his end, he was paralyzed. The only thing he could move was his right hand. Every day, someone wheeled him to class, and the moment they pushed play on the music, his hand began to flutter and flip and swoon. In that hand was all the energy of one body and all the desires of one mind within a universe of lifetimes. That is a dance.

If grasping a cool glass of water and then drinking it isn’t a momentous act, has your soul been drained?
